Privacy Policy

Baby Up respects your privacy and the personal nature of your pregnancy memories. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app processes, how that information is used, and what choices you have.

1. Information the app processes

a. Information you create or enter

You may enter or generate pregnancy dates, baby nickname, written memories, checklist progress, letter drafts, exported keepsake content, and photos you choose to attach.

b. Purchase and restore information

When you buy or restore premium access, payment processing, transaction records, and entitlement verification are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Baby Up does not receive your bank card details or Apple account password.

c. iCloud sync information

If you choose to enable iCloud, the app syncs lightweight structured data such as journey dates, memories, checklist state, export drafts, and limited settings state. Photos remain on the current device by default and are not automatically uploaded by the app.

d. Sharing and export information

When you export or share keepsakes, the app creates files locally on your device and passes them to the iOS system share sheet. Baby Up does not automatically upload your exported memories to its own servers when you tap share.

2. How the information is used

The app uses this information only to:

1. calculate pregnancy week, stage, and estimated due date;
2. save and display your memories, tasks, and photos;
3. generate keepsakes such as the Journey Keepsake Book and Day-1 Letter;
4. sync the lightweight data you choose to sync;
5. verify and restore premium purchase access.

3. Where the information is stored

a. On-device storage

Most app content is stored locally on your device, including photo files.

b. iCloud

If you enable iCloud, eligible lightweight data is synced through Apple's iCloud services linked to your Apple account. Photos are not currently included in that sync scope.

c. No separate Baby Up account system

The current version of the app does not require you to create a Baby Up account and does not upload your private memory content into a separate Baby Up user account system.

4. Data sharing and third-party services

a. Apple services

Baby Up uses Apple services such as StoreKit, iCloud, and the system share sheet to support purchases, syncing, and exports.

b. No sale of personal information

Baby Up does not sell your personal information, does not use your private memories for advertising profiles, and does not disclose your content to third parties for advertising purposes.

c. Content you choose to share

If you share exported keepsakes to apps or services such as WeChat, Instagram, Facebook, email, or similar platforms, that content will be subject to the privacy terms of the destination service you choose.

5. Retention and deletion

1. Your on-device data remains until you delete content, use the Start Over feature, or remove the app.
2. If iCloud sync is enabled, synced lightweight data may remain subject to Apple's iCloud retention mechanisms. You can disconnect iCloud sync and delete local content on each device.
3. Purchase records are maintained by Apple. Premium restoration is handled through Apple's Restore Purchase flow.

6. Your choices

You can:

1. change your pregnancy date basis in Settings;
2. edit or delete memories and letter content;
3. choose whether to enable iCloud;
4. clear the current journey through Start Over;
5. decide whether to preview, export, or share keepsakes.

7. Children and sensitive information

Baby Up is designed for pregnancy journaling and family use. It does not require children to create accounts. Please avoid entering highly sensitive medical information you would not want stored on your device or included in an export.

8. Policy changes

If Baby Up changes how it processes information, this Privacy Policy will be updated inside the app. Your continued use of the app after an update means you have reviewed the updated policy.
